Workshops

Tentekomai organizes taiko drumming workshops for over 15 years and has brought dynamic taiko workshops for individual participants, companies, organizations and taiko groups from beginner to advanced in Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands.

A taiko workshop is an exciting and inspiring challenge, giving a unique, mind-altering experience. it is also extremely suitable as a team building activity.
Taiko drumming is not only highly motivated and enjoyable, it brings people together emotionally, physically and mentally and creates a strong feeling of group identity and belonging. It unites body and soul.

Our taiko workshops are given by professional and experienced Japanese taiko performers. The workshops are interactive and suitable for groups consisting of 4-40 people.

The taiko workshops take place in our own dojo or on location. Since the drums of Tentekomai will be used during the workshops, a relatively large space will be required. Our own dojo is limited in space and suitable for maximum 12 participants. For bigger groups we will rely on an external location with adequate facilities, either inside or outside.

Prices of the workshops depend of the number of participants, the location of the workshop, the number of the instruments, type of drums, transportation mileage, number of teachers, duration and special or additional requests.

Since the taiko workshops are given by Japanese percussionists who are based in Japan we depend on their presence in Europe. For this reason we do not offer regular taiko workshops. However, we are investigating if we can organize this in the future by an online connection with Japan.
