Workshops and Music Lessons

The following terms and conditions apply to all companies and or persons or other entities (“you”, ‘’your’’) that are attending a workshop or (private) music lesson organized by Tentekomai (“we”, ‘’us’’, ‘’our’’). Please ensure you have read and understand the following before your registering. 

Acceptance of terms and conditions

These terms and conditions apply to all offers and agreements of participants and clients regarding workshops and private music classes.
You acknowledge and agree that by participating in a workshop, you accept these Terms and Conditions and agree to be bound by them.

Registration

You can register for a workshop or lesson by sending us an email. 

Workshops are held subject to sufficient registrations.

After registration, you will receive an (electronic) confirmation by e-mail that makes your registration final. Registration takes place in order of receipt of the applications.

As soon as a workshop or course is sold out, the registration is automatically closed and it is no longer possible to book a place.
If a workshop is full, you can email us to register for the reserve list. Put in the subject of your e-mail ‘reserve list [workshop or course]’. Please state your full name and telephone number. If a place has become vacant, we will contact you as soon as possible.
By registering you declare you agree with the general terms and conditions.

Tickets

We shall not send you tickets for the workshop. We will have your name on the attendee list and if you have paid the registration fee you shall be provided with access to the Workshop.

Language

The workshops and lessons will mainly be given by Japanese instructors. The main language used during the workshops and lessons will be English.

The instruments

For the taiko workshops the drums of Tentekomai will be used. It is possible to use your own (Japanese) drums as long as they are suitable for the workshop and mutually agreed upon by us and you in advance. We provide the bachi for the workshop. If you want to use your own bachi it is only possible if this is approved by the workshop instructors. 

For the online music lessons you will need your own instrument. We can of course provide or assist you in selecting the right instrument.

Payment

You will be issued with a tax invoice after the workshop registration is processed by us. You must pay the full amount within 14 days from the date of the invoice provided always that payment must be made in full, minimal 14 days prior to the workshop.

Cancellation by you

If you cancel up to 1 month (30 days) before the start you will receive the full amount, minus the administration costs (Euro 12,50). In the event of cancellation between 30 to 14 days before the start date, 50% of the participation fee will be charged. In case of cancellation from 14 days before the start date, 100% of the participation fee will be charged. If you do not appear during the workshop, no money will be refunded.

Cancellation by us

If a workshop cannot take place due to circumstances, the workshop fee will be reimbursed (pro rata).

If we cancel a workshop through no fault of you, you will be informed by email or phone and any monies paid by you will be refunded in full within 7 days of the cancellation. 

Postponement or change of venue

There may be circumstances in which we need to postpone the workshop or change the venue at which the workshop is to be held and if we do, we shall inform you of this as soon as we possibly can. In case of a postponement or change of venue you may cancel your registration by emailing us within 5 days from the date of our notification and we shall provide you with a full refund, if applicable. 

Liability and disclaimer

Our sole liability in relation to any cancellation, postponement or change of venue shall be limited to the price paid by you for such workshop and we shall not be liable under any circumstances for any consequential losses.

Your obligations

If you act in any way which in our opinion is likely to cause any harm or nuisance to any person at the workshop, you will be required to leave the workshop and we shall not be liable to refund the registration fee or any other payment.

You must comply at all times with the health and safety policy of the venue. 

You must comply with all requests from us or the venue with regard to health and safety and failure to do so will result in you being asked to leave the workshop (in which case no refund will be provided). 

You may not bring any equipment or items of a hazardous or dangerous nature to the workshop.

You shall not cause any damage to any part of the venue (including outside areas, and all inside walls, flooring, fixtures and fittings). You are solely liable for any damage caused by you, your employees, contractors, sub-contractors and agents to any such area of the venue and shall fully reimburse us in relation to any damage so caused.

Personal Property

You acknowledge and agree that we are not responsible and will not be held liable for any damage, theft or damage to your personal property at the venue prior to, during or after the workshop. 

Photography and filming

We may wish to photograph or film the workshop and reserve the right to do so for the purposes of promoting future workshops or otherwise. You consent to us (or any other person attending the workshop) photographing or filming you and any persons attending the workshop with you. You may not photograph or video the workshop without our prior consent.

Complaints


If you have any complaint about a workshop or lesson, please contact us and we will do our best to be of service to you and try to solve the problem.
The submission of a complaint does not release you from the payment obligation.

Data protection

We see it as our responsibility to protect your privacy. Please refer to our Privacy and Cookie Policy to see what information we collect from you, why we collect this data and how we improve your user experience. 

Corona policy

We strictly follow the guidelines of the Dutch National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM) in order to keep the physical workshops safe. Registration is your own responsibility. Missing lessons due to staying at home in connection with the corona rules does not entitle you to a refund of lessons.
If a course is temporarily unable to take place physically due to an amended policy, We will look for a suitable solution. You agree to this when registering for the course.
Lessons will only be refunded if we decide to cancel a workshop or lesson.

Travel

You shall be responsible for making and paying for your own travel to and from the workshop. If you are late at the workshop or prevented from attending the workshop due to travel delays or any other circumstances, we shall not be obliged to provide you with a refund or to wait to start the workshop until you arrive. 

Disability and medical conditions 

You must not participate in the workshop if you are not feeling well, are sick or have any known medical condition affecting your ability to participate in physical exercise. By participating in the workshop, you agree to release and hold us from any liability in this regard to the extent permitted by law. 

Governing law

These Terms shall be governed by Dutch Law and your hereby submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Dutch Courts.
